| What should I do if I'm not sure? |
Call the police and explain the incident or event. The dispatcher may have a police officer call you back or dispatched to your concern. We are fortunate enough at Central Saanich Police, to be able to attend the majority of your calls or at the very least, a police officer will be able to phone you. The only time your answer may be delayed, would be higher priority calls.

| Why does the dispatcher need my name, address, phone number and birth date? |
The event you are calling about, may be part of another event you did not witness or you may be witness to an incident that requires further investigation. Perhaps the police officer needs to contact you for further help in dealing with your call. In order for the police to do a thorough investigation, the officer may need to interview you at a later date. It is important to have proper records of who the caller or witness is. It allows us to followup on reports that you may have made in the past and we can correctly answer your questions or concerns with the right records.
