NOTICE:

The Central Saanich Police Service are in the process of developing their Anti-Graffiti program and are expecting to launch it in the Fall. Your patience is appreciated and we look forward to working with the community to help minimalize these acts of vandalism.

Graffiti is an ongoing issue for the community of Central Saanich. Certain areas have been sporadically targeted.  These areas include, but are not limited to, Brentwood Village, Rom Knott Park, Keating Cross Road, Centennial Park, Stelly’s, Bayside and Brentwood Schools.

Graffiti is more than just words or symbols. Graffiti is an act of vandalism that costs thousands of dollars to remove or cover each year. Every dollar spent on graffiti removal is a dollar that could be used towards other community programs.

Property marked with graffiti is less appealing to individuals who may be looking to buy or rent in the area. Property becomes more difficult to selland values are reduced.

Central Saanich Police Service is coordinating a multi agency approach to tackle this ongoing issue.  In order for CSPS to make the community a safer and more beautiful place to reside, they are requesting the community's assistance in detecting and therefore reducing these offences.
