Police Seek Witness to Theft

Central Saanich Police are looking for the witness who called police last night at 10:20 p.m. to report a male breaking into the vending machines at the Co-op Card lock station on Keating Cross Road.

The Co-Op Card Lock station has been the victim of vandalism and theft several times over the last two weeks. Extensive damage was caused to the vending machine as a result of last night’s incident. 

Police were at the scene within minutes and arrested a male hiding in the bushes. The 47 year old Victoria male has been charged with Theft under $5,000.00, Mischief Under $5,000.00 and Possession of Break in instruments.
