Central Saanich Police officers arrested a male after receiving a report of a robbery of a BC Transit driver last night at Keating Cross Road and Central Saanich Road.

At approximately 8:00 pm a male passenger in his 30s approached the bus driver and after assaulting him demanded the driver’s wallet. The driver was uninjured physically during the incident.  

“A suspect was located shortly after receiving the report with the assistance of several members of the public,” said Deputy Chief Derren Lench. 

Jordan David Tahouney, a 33 year old male appeared in court today and was charged with Robbery, Section 344 of the Criminal Code of Canada.  He will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
