The Central Saanich Police Service Reserve Program offers an exciting and challenging volunteer experience. Reserve Constables participate in a ride-along program, accompanying a police officer, as well as assisting in and observing their duties.
Applicants must:
- Be at least 19 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's licence.
- Have no criminal convictions that would be inconsistent with a public safety role.
- Demonstrate good character, judgment, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
- Successfully complete all required screening processes.
- Be capable of participating in required training and community policing activities.
- Commit to a minimum of 16-20 volunteer hours per month.
Applicants should possess a strong commitment to community service and be willing to support special events, crime prevention initiatives, and operational activities.
