Call 9.1.1 for the following Emergencies:                   

• Attack/Assault
• Fire
• Crime in progress (fight, break and enter)
• Serious crime just occurred (robbery, sexual assault)
• Suspicious Activity (vandalism, prowler)
• Mental Health Crisis

Call the Non-Emergency line at 250.652.4441 for the following incidents:

• Noise Complaints
• Reporting a crime that is not currently in progress 
• Reporting a crime with no suspect
• Ongoing crime issue with no suspect

When calling 9.1.1 it is important to stay calm, speak clearly, and be ready to answer the call taker’s questions. 

If you accidentally dial 9.1.1, stay on the line and tell us - don’t leave us hanging!  Otherwise, we will have to follow up with you, which is a draw on resources.
