19-Year-Old Male Arrested for Possession and Trafficking of Stolen Property

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Central Saanich Police Service officers arrested a 19-year-old male in Brentwood Bay in connection with the possession and trafficking of stolen property.

The investigation began after officers received information regarding a suspected stolen Sea-Doo. Police located the suspect and recovered the watercraft, which was confirmed stolen. During the arrest, officers also discovered a second Sea-Doo in the suspect’s possession, later determined to have been stolen out of Westshore.

The 19-year-old male, a resident of Greater Victoria, was taken into custody without incident. Charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking are being recommended to Crown Counsel.

Both stolen Sea-Doos have since been returned to their rightful owners.

The Central Saanich Police Service reminds residents to report suspicious activity immediately and to record serial numbers of valuable items, which assists in recovery if property is stolen.
