Province announces $3.5M federal funding to strengthen police work that combats online child exploitation

The province recently announced that $3.5 million in new funding will help police combat the substantial increase of online child sexual exploitation.

This funding will allow the regional Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) team to continue in their efforts to protect children from predators who exploit and harm them. A collaborative, coordinated, and integrated approach has proved to be successful in previous pilot project, and are confident that this new funding will help to further build on those successes.
