The recruitment process for both recruit and exempt candidates consists of the following stages:
Cover Letter and CV
Applicant Questionnaire
Polygraph Integrity Questionnaire (PIQ)
Prior Police Service PIQ
Authorisation for Release of Information
In addition, candidates will be asked to provide the following:
Copy of birth certificate/Citizenship/PR Card
Copy valid BC Class 5 Drivers Licence, or equivalent
Vision Standard Form
Hearing Standard Form
Candidates for Exempt hires will also be asked to provide:
Records of basic police training
Records of advanced police training
Last 3 years performance appraisals
Recruiting Intake Interview
Peer Panel Interview
NCO Interview
Physical Testing (POPAT/PARE) - Not required for Exempt candidates
Polygraph Test
Psychological Examination
Occupational Health Assessment
Background/PSS/Security Check
Executive Interview
